The Glasgow show was in a ~200 capacity venue and it wasn't so busy that I didn't have room to dance properly which is always my fear in small venues

I mean i can understand why it isn't a big draw - neither of her previous bands were actually that successful this side of the Atlantic and she is still a very niche artist. Which is a shame because it was easily one of the best gigs I've ever been to and the intimate venue really worked for it

new breed is such a good album. I haven’t been rinsing it like I did her previous albums, I just play it on the regular and it’s always an intensely satisfying listen.

Just caught up with her collaborative EP (?) (9 tracks, 15 mins long) with Intyce, titled ‘Psyflo : Risqué’ . It dropped about a month ago to little fanfare and I can’t find very much about it online. It’s good, the beats work really well with Dawn’s signature style. Possibly my favourite thing she’s done in a couple of years at least.

Thanks for the heads-up, had missed this. Don’t know who Intyce is, but I’m very eager to check this out.

this is outstanding; i suppose the lack of some cleared samples (the super mario ones at least) and the somewhat undeveloped nature of the tracks (most of the songs are under two minutes) suggest this is more of a rough draft than a finished project, which explains why she's been quiet about this.
this may be obvious but the overall vibe is very Darkchild and yes that's very fine by me.

forks, not sure I get your reference. Darkchild as in producer Rodney Jerkins, or are you talking about a certain dark child with a Blackheart by any chance?

Either way, it’s good stuff, but ‘undeveloped’ is right - I need more than 1’45 for those tracks.
