the lyrics of "On a Good Day" are beautiful and memorable. I think it's one of the great songs on Have One on Me

those guitars on twin falls are really crying arent they. werid to have a bts song in a short song playlist. always thought that song was missing a 3 minute guitar solo like their other songs. it just dies before it gets going. cool tho.

im not a fan of joanna newsom's music at all but got to admit that track is pretty lovely. does she have more subdued stuff like this?

Catching up...yay Mitski! I love when she breaks what is usually an acceptable level of loud for an indie song. Crushed Little Stars was high in my ballot. It just lands so...crushingly.

xp a lot of Newsom's music feels subdued to me, although the songwriting has gotten way more complex since The Milk-Eyed Mender

every buzzcocks song from that era is so catchy, it's almost unfair. 'love you more' is good, but when sandwiched between 'i don't mind' and 'ever fallen in love' on singles going steady, it's clear that it isn't quite on that level.

oh dude, dumb move on my part not to think of it but was Yoko Kanno's "Green Bird" nominated? Dunno if I should hope for placement or not.

This post, and several others in recent days on this thread, reinforce my belief that this poll is one of the best things that has happened on ILX/ILM in a long time. Maybe I'm chastened by our daily Brexit shite, I'm most certainly deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a long-time close friend this week, but in this thread I see an openness, a capacity for reevaluation and a lack of the old ILM tribalism.
