Yes, ours is actually pretty well-trafficked for people who don't want to drive the extra 15 minutes to Target. The nearest Wal-Mart is about half an hour away. I mean, it's still doomed and half the time I go there looking for something, they don't have it in stock.

a friend is claiming she saw somewhere the gossip that Jeppo is dropping a full album on 2/27 and not just a song which would be AMAZING but I remain unconvinced that's how this is going to play out, nonetheless I've agreed to keep the evening free just in case

I'm thinking that it would have to be very soon after that at least. The rollout has definitely been weird, what with Party For One coming out in early November and then nothing for months until now. I think that song was ok, but not something that can sustain interest by itself for so long.

If the whole album is in the vein of Party For One and Now That I Found You, I can't see myself getting real hype about it.

Slap is a verb. Bop is a noun.

In modern parlance, bop is somewhat equivalent to what we would call a banger five years ago or a jam 15-20 years ago.

It can still be a verb as well if you wish.

What about "getting hype"? It sounds kinda like "you're bias".

xpost "hype" has been used colloquially as an adjective for a while now. might be helpful to compare it to what's happened with "chill" in the past 15-or-so years. also, not sure if you were being facetious about urban dictionary, but it tends to track actual usage pretty well: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hype

I loved that place. Made so many friends there. I still mourn the loss.

In some ways, it was the ideal of what a music-based internet community should be. I never fought with or held a grudge against any single person there for four whole years. It was just at its core about discovery and sharing. It wasn't long for this cruel world.

"Party for One" was underwhelming as a lead single but it's still quite good. everything i've heard of NTIFY (including a very very low quality leak of what seemed to be the full track) suggests it will be fantastic so i'm not very worried about the album

Songs are good. Album isn't due out until this summer though, which depresses me a little, but will hopefully help her in terms of release strategy or something.
