i was too suckered in by the beat drop to realize how annoyed i am with pusha's flow on this one

simmy simmy ya, simmy yam simmy yay (voodoo chili), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:44 (seven years ago)

I liked Daytona well enough the first time around but it didn't last, no.

pomenitul, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:44 (seven years ago)

People really liked that track like that? Huh.

human and working on getting beer (longneck), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:45 (seven years ago)

is there any hope for "bloxk party"

lowercase (eric), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:46 (seven years ago)

not sure what's not to like about this track in particular and DAYTONA in general; it's held up well enough for me. Games We Play, Santeria and Infrared nearly equally good imo.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:47 (seven years ago)

This song just makes me want to listen to Wicked Game.

Are you alluding to Siegbran's description of Chris Isaak as the male LDR? Because that was indeed otm.

― pomenitul, Thursday, January 31, 2019 12:32 PM

No, it's a comparison I'd made as soon as Mariner's... came out, but when I saw that I gave it a silent thumbs up.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:47 (seven years ago)

the least bad kanye release of 2018 was easily the teyana taylor record

jolene club remix (BradNelson), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:47 (seven years ago)

'Pusha's flow' also sums up my reservations.

pomenitul, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:48 (seven years ago)

Sounds like you guys are underrating Kids See Ghosts.

i feel like people embraced kids see ghost way too hard cause it was just so much better than ye. but that says more about ye than ksg

simmy simmy ya, simmy yam simmy yay (voodoo chili), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:50 (seven years ago)

KSG is the only Kanye I've ever liked fwiw.

pomenitul, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:51 (seven years ago)

ufo, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:52 (seven years ago)

bc i contain multitudes the only other kanye thing i liked last year was "i love it"

jolene club remix (BradNelson), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:52 (seven years ago)

It dropped Memorial Day weekend, I blasted it through Tuesday, forgot about it on Friday. I don't hate it though.

Your sweetie-pie-coo-coo I love ya (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:52 (seven years ago)

is there any room left for surprises at this point? this year feels relatively lacking in those

I'm not a huge fan to begin with and it lasts 24 mins.

I was supposed to listen to If you know you know but I misclicked and listened to Taste (which is only 20% baby shark).
I haven't seen much of my ballot place lately, but yet again it was only 30% American

Nabozo, Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:58 (seven years ago)

this song is good too, thanks the beths

jolene club remix (BradNelson), Thursday, 31 January 2019 17:58 (seven years ago)

Love this Beths track. This might have been my #1, can't remember, but I have definitely listened to it more than any other song that came out in 2018.

this song rocks

budo jeru, Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:00 (seven years ago)

the beths are quite good but they probably didn't need two tracks placing

ufo, Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:00 (seven years ago)

savoring these rich lead guitar lines before snail mail places

jolene club remix (BradNelson), Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:00 (seven years ago)

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:01 (seven years ago)

I wanted to say earlier, what impressed me about the session footage of them I've seen isn't even the more obviously showy stuff, it's how polished the vocals are

resident hack (Simon H.), Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:01 (seven years ago)

i really love this song, supremely executed. the vocal is so sweet, the guitars so punchy.

you voted for baby shark

jolene club remix (BradNelson), Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

Never was a big fan of the Clipse, but this Pusha T track is alright. I actually really like his flow on it, compared to the angly start-stop flow of trap folks like Rae Sremmurd, it's feels much smoother and skillful.

Tuomas, Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

this is the beths song i liked

ciderpress, Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:03 (seven years ago)

'Baby Shark' is more innovative than this.

pomenitul, Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:03 (seven years ago)

Edginess aside, this is good landfill indie.

innovation is overrated, has silicon valley not proven this

resident hack (Simon H.), Thursday, 31 January 2019 18:04 (seven years ago)

Lol, wait what, Pusha T is from Clipse, Clipse was good. Had completely eluded me.
