59: Prince Kaybee featuring Busiswa and TNS - “Banomoya”

This is my favourite discovery of today's rollout. Not so keen on the male vox coming in, but the construction of space and movement with the bass & synths kills.

Also into Die Wilde Jagd, which somehow I'd missed before, though it feels thinner than it should be in places, not quite as epic as I want it to be.

Trying to work out if I'm going to have any other placements aside from that Helena Hauff track... surely Blackpink will make it? Maybe Hen Ogledd & Yemi Alade?

This Roisin track makes me want to listen to Dreamer by Livin' Joy. More bland comments as they arrive.

I really like Jaipur and a couple of the other songs on Salt, but overall I didn't find the album anywhere near as compelling as their previous album which was perfect. Really wish they'd put Power Of Two and Echo Arms on there.

Ok, I actually listened to this Mr. Sister tune, and it is quite different from the previous one, and definitely better. Is most of their music like this, or like the earlier track?

I tried this, and I really like the basic disco groove and the vocals, but the arrangement is way too loaded! Why do they need to have all those extra sounds there, like the weird scratching? Just trust what you have!

should be noted that the video of 2000 elefanten isn’t the best way to hear the song because that stretch of dead air in the middle really kills it

the one thing I've been gathering from this list so far is that ILX really loves deadpan, disaffected vocals

ok i feel confident tentatively recommending salt to you, spend some time with it

might end up using this year's results as an excuse to kickstart an actual poll on instituting a one-track-per-artist limit as opposed to just whining about it again
