New to me! Thanks for sharing

Evan, Thursday, 10 January 2019 18:07 (seven years ago)

one month passes...

I suppose my holy grail would be the Lilys 'Send in the Subs' CD-R, I can barely get a decent quality rip of it never mind an actual hard copy.

― MaresNest, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 3:39 AM (two weeks ago)

I lost my copy! Wish I could help you out...

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Wednesday, 27 February 2019 16:59 (seven years ago)

city worker hooked us up in 2016 but not sure if the quality was good enough for Mares

Evan, Wednesday, 27 February 2019 17:03 (seven years ago)

Thank you both! I would love a higher quality rip than 128kbps, the search goes on! Maybe I should try and ask Kurt :)

MaresNest, Wednesday, 27 February 2019 17:25 (seven years ago)

He's pretty active on twitter...

YSI?

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Thursday, 28 February 2019 04:04 (seven years ago)

I did a search on slsk yesterday and have just done one now with no results, whoever they are we don't keep the same hours I guess :)

MaresNest, Thursday, 28 February 2019 10:50 (seven years ago)

there's a user now ("f**d*ngb*ck") who has most of it in 192

Elvis Telecom, Thursday, 28 February 2019 20:18 (seven years ago)

Not seeing it... :-( Hopefully MaresNest can find it.

Grunge album coming soon?

I did eventually track down Send in The Subs in 192kbps, still hoping for a copy of it, I also grabbed a great VPRO session from that same person.

verse melody was knicked for "leo ryan"? and maybe another track?

trying to figure out how involved KH is with Lodge 49... seems kinda deep but maybe some contractual shit is keeping him incognito.

xpost

noooooooooooo...

Yerac, Monday, 28 October 2019 20:54 (six years ago)

the only time I saw them live was in '99? when Delta 72, Olivia Tremor Control and Elf Power were also on the bill (macrock).

Yerac, Monday, 28 October 2019 20:57 (six years ago)

That was a good era... maybe the peak.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Monday, 28 October 2019 21:03 (six years ago)

I dunno, that recently unbraided hair seems peak.

Yerac, Monday, 28 October 2019 21:05 (six years ago)

I appreciate his two sizes of tamis (tamises?) on the wall.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Friday, 1 November 2019 14:44 (six years ago)

Hey Albert looks like

Hark, The Open Energy Channel Is Icy Water, Water Everywhere (B-side)

wasn't in the link

Evan, Friday, 1 November 2019 17:23 (six years ago)

Damn... I'll see if I can rescrape it.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Friday, 1 November 2019 17:30 (six years ago)

That track and the others from the Services For The Soon To Be Departed EP are so damn great.

Maresn3st, Friday, 1 November 2019 17:53 (six years ago)

Yeah, I verified run-times it's the same track as the lead track on Services. Which I have... somewhere lol

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Friday, 1 November 2019 18:47 (six years ago)

iirc they just bunged the whole EP, or most of it, on the CD Single for Nanny (in the UK at least)

Maresn3st, Friday, 1 November 2019 18:58 (six years ago)

Well, I was wrong, it was just the first three tracks

Maresn3st, Friday, 1 November 2019 18:59 (six years ago)

Really want the mystery tracks in this performance identified (don't have the time to comb through again at the moment to identify any timestamps):

Overlit Canyon - Live 2016-07-03

It's funny to hear him sing the songs of this era with that weird british/stoner surfer accent he sort of fell into since then.

Radiotricity 2016: "Oiyce Cahps Male-ting!"

Evan, Friday, 1 November 2019 19:28 (six years ago)

Thanks again for the uploads, these early tracks are making me really nostaglic for Eccsame era stuff: "The Turtle Which..." etc.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Friday, 8 November 2019 00:50 (six years ago)

Man, Eccsame is such an amazing record, it's just so low key that it's almost designed to be passed over, but if you spend a bit of time with it, it'll bury itself deep into you.

Maresn3st, Friday, 8 November 2019 08:32 (six years ago)

Maybe I've been losing my shit over no one, for some time.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Sunday, 10 November 2019 06:44 (six years ago)

It's weird how markedly different those first...idk five? albums are, like five different bands.

Maresn3st, Sunday, 10 November 2019 11:33 (six years ago)

YES!

Maresnest can you please re-up the VPRO link? Looks like I forgot to click...

Also wondering if Albert was ever able to track down the missing file for Hark, The Open Energy Channel Is Icy Water, Water Everywhere (B-side)?

Evan, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 15:53 (six years ago)

It is not a rarity per se, it's just the first track of Services For The Soon To Be Departed tacked on as a b-side to an import single.

That said, I do "own" it. Where it is, or my impending access to such is a big question.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:35 (six years ago)

No worries Evan, do you have the 'Services...' EP? I can include that also.

Maresn3st, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:39 (six years ago)

It is amazing actually, every bit as great as BCMYLB

Maresn3st, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:40 (six years ago)

When I say "the first track" it's like the first 3 tracks of the EP which are seamless. It's a little more free/frenetic than BCMYLB imho.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:42 (six years ago)

Thanks! And I do have Services so no worries there! I figured the "b-side" version would have been a little different.

Evan, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:46 (six years ago)

It was tacked on as a b-side to the "Nanny" 1998 re-release as that EP didn't get UK distro.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:49 (six years ago)

wait that is not the Services EP

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 17:50 (six years ago)

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 17:53 (six years ago)

Lol, I can upload that too if you like?
