Haha — I found that Duck Song around 5 years ago, trolling YT for kids stuff when my son was a tot. Spent a hot day playing it over & over. (There’s a “sequel” song/video that’s pretty good, IIRC)

yeah i remember first seeing the duck song back when the video was out in 09. i don't think it's seeing any kind of special resurgence...? although it has been pretty consistently viewed on youtube for the past many years

My son has been into the duck song for a couple of years, he didn't get the main joke until earlier this year, so mystified as to why he always wanted to watch it

I was conflicted on voting for this song for the EOY ILM poll... on one hand it’s not up to my music standards but on the other hand I’d be very happy to see it represented on the tracks poll as it was probably the song I heard the most this year thanks to my extended family and their babies.

my 4yo started doing the "Alexa play Baby Shark" thing last week. we don't have Alexa but we do have a Bluetooth speaker that must look like the one that's Alexa-enabled at his day care. so this version of Alexa makes him clean up his toys and finish his dinner before it can play any music >:)
