also great was the scalper outside kentish town tube station trying to sell tickets to the peasants

I was impressed the show was a big enough deal to have bootleg t-shirts on sale outside.

We were discussing it after and despite playing for about 2.5 hrs there were still at least half a dozen big tunes left out.

That makes me excited to check it out. Foxing is exactly what they shoulda been listening to imo! (But also Romance is Boring is my least favorite one so I'm a weirdo)

I'm not all that familiar with their earlier music but their new one is the best record I've heard in 2024.

for a band yet to record a bad song, it's still a surprise how essential this feels. they've managed grasp a scope and ambition they maybe lost hold of for a little bit.

it's quite good, definitely better than the last, but it's still not on the level of their best material. i'm a bit surprised at how positive the reaction has been overall. might be able to make a case for 'best since romance is boring' though idk yet

I know I'm a Bernard Sumner fan at all, but several lyrics had me rolling my eyes.
