It's a great performance - I've no problems at all with the playing or the song, but I've always felt there was much better than this on All Things Must Pass.

I'm not a massive fan of 'Oh Yoko!' either - it's a nice enough tune, but there's better Lennon songs in this poll that have placed far lower.

Same deal with 'My Sweet Lord', basically - there's been better Harrison songs that have placed far lower. 'Behind that Locked Door', for example.

'Maybe I'm Amazed' absolutely fucking rules, and if the Beatles had stayed together it's easy to see them tackling it and making a #1 hit out of it. Absolutely superb. Shakey's anti-McCartney bias has found a level beyond comical at this stage.

I can't think of anything that could be added to it to make it any more perfect than it is. One of his greatest songs.

I want to see everyone's full ballots, btw, and not just songs that didn't place! I don't mind scrolling through.

Feel like it would have actually benefited from a Spector production, unlike most other things.

I love McCartney's solo in "Maybe": controlled fury.

Maybe I'm Amazed was towards the bottom of my ballot, I like it but there's a lot of McCartney stuff I prefer.

Yeah, this absolutely deserves to be up here. 'Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five' is my absolute favourite from that album, though.

I agree it sounds half finished, but it works in the context of a song about being awestruck and grasping at something that remains out of reach, I much prefer it to Hey Jude

Kinda surprised I was the only #1 vote for "Junk." I think it's hilarious that of all the Beatles, Paul was the one who wrote the most effortless/least cloying/genuinely moving song about materialism.

yeah John and George are both pretty great lyricists imo. Paul could be, but most of the time he didn't bother.
