live and let die is a better song than a bond theme, if you get me

you're right Tarfumes, not sure how Ringo's credit slipped in there. Session credits for some of these things was really hard to keep track of and standardize across ballot entries.

i can imagine! besides, just to call out the worst example of this, who can say who played what on all things must pass anyway (though you can generally tell it's ringo when he's on it)

my favorite paul collab that has no chance of making it is "get it," with carl perkins, from tug of war. perkins has such a great voice, and it sounds weirdly incredible against the '80s production. rediscovering that song kinda made me want to look up if perkins did any worthwhile solo work in the 80s.

I appreciate too how George Martin mimicked a Q joint production.
