still one of the most incredible moments in American pop history when "Fame" topped the chart (twice!) – like, it has nothing to do with what else is happening, how did this happen

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:17 (eight years ago)

aaaaaand George's first appearance!

flappy bird, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:19 (eight years ago)

I like "Crackerbox Palace" a lot more now than I did 20 years ago

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:20 (eight years ago)

I dunno about the EES TRUE EES TRUE part though

808s & Deep States (voodoo chili), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:24 (eight years ago)

"i'd have you anytime" is legit too low

flamenco blorf (BradNelson), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:24 (eight years ago)

well George's harmonies and Ringo's drums ARE prominent

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:24 (eight years ago)

fame and won't back down are obviously great songs but i'd much rather a couple more actual solo beatles tracks sneak into the 99th and 100th spots

808s & Deep States (voodoo chili), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:25 (eight years ago)

agreed brad, i'd have you anytime is one of my ATMP favorites

Ringo's in the video, but that's Phil Jones playing on the track.

There's something eerie about the sleeves to 'Give Peace a Chance' and 'Cold Turkey' ...

Le Baton Rose (Turrican), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:29 (eight years ago)

lol @ three images - all of Paul - on this sleeve

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:31 (eight years ago)

can't remember if i voted for c moon or if it was one of my final cuts, but it like it. charming nonsense.

808s & Deep States (voodoo chili), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:32 (eight years ago)

"When We Was Fab" is one of my least favorite Harrisingles – something about the nostalgia clashes with his nature, producing a tentative song

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:33 (eight years ago)

Man let it roll is the best Harrison song ever

synonym toast crunch (Ross), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:33 (eight years ago)

listen i love tom petty but i'm going through the playlist rn and i can't believe i'm about to hear "i won't back down"

Οὖτις, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:45 (eight years ago)

very nice job with everything shakey. good run of songs... except for "i won't back down" (?????????)

flappy bird, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:47 (eight years ago)

"look at me" is so lovely

"run of the mill" too low, am i gonna say that for every george song

flamenco blorf (BradNelson), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:48 (eight years ago)

take it up with the 6 Tom Petty voters

Οὖτις, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:50 (eight years ago)

xp

Οὖτις, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:50 (eight years ago)

look at me is so sad and wonderful. i fucking love the quiet songs on JL/POB and i'm happy more are coming.

808s & Deep States (voodoo chili), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:54 (eight years ago)

i love run of the mill too, very dylanesque.

this poll solidified my belief that ATMP is the strongest single post-Beatles release, especially if you lop off the Apple Jam

808s & Deep States (voodoo chili), Monday, 4 June 2018 17:56 (eight years ago)

"Look at Me" is a White Album/India leftover - anyone know if there's a demo from '68 floating around? those wonderful Esher demos have "Junk" and "Child of Nature" and "Not Guilty," though iirc no George songs that ended up on ATMP (although it does have "Circles," which I know he recorded later. nice little song).

flappy bird, Monday, 4 June 2018 17:59 (eight years ago)

"Mrs. Lennon" > "Fame" on the Spotify is A+ segue.

WilliamC, Monday, 4 June 2018 18:03 (eight years ago)

Hi dere Beatle crew, “Run of the Mill” is my biggest *too low* so far. Had it at #6.

timellison, Monday, 4 June 2018 18:56 (eight years ago)

I’m guessing Crackerbox that low means little hope for This Song/Love Comes to Everyone/If You Believe/Faster/All Those Years Ago/Dream Away from you maniacs?
