ugh flagging ate my post but: gonna try my best to get home in time to make a ballot today, and I just threw a last dozen tracks onto the playlist, moooostly stuff that's gotten at least partway namechecked here (e.g. second-tier-but-basically-liked-em cuts from my ringo marathon), plus a couple of big ticket items (Mother, original Maybe I'm Amazed). shockingly not on Spotify: Girls' School, and any of the FitD-era b-sides (Loveliest Thing!!).

just realized i didn't include "maybe i'm amazed" at all, whoops. i like it enough to include it near the bottom of my ballot, but in general it's my least favorite popular solo paul song

maybe I'm amazed is awesome. I don't think there's anything corny about the song - it's probably McC being his most authentic self.

baffled by the love for it to be honest. the only version I've ever really rated is the Faces cover.

haha i just cut and pasted in everything from the lists posted to thread and deleted everything i couldn't imagine ever voting for. now i'm just doing the standard quick-pass "assign this to tiers 1-4" deal to discover that, indeed, tiers 1-3 already come to about 100, so there are dozens of things in group 4 that will never have a chance and there's no point trying to rank them. fare thee well, "Wrack My Brain."

the ranking is completely insane and i think if i started over there would be almost no correspondence with this list but it's also a list of 100 solo beatles songs i really like so that's fine by me

the preponderance of Paul tracks and impossibility of really considering every song in relation to every other means that i had a few big chunks of consecutive and nearly alphabetical Paul surviving from the first round of compiling the list... but i mean generally speaking they're all kinda in the right part of the list so whatever. stoked for the results on this.
