I didn't vote for any Utopia tracks in the end. Blissing Me was the one I considered going for.

Wow I completely forgot about Amphibian. Would have made my ballot.

I voted Sun In My Mouth and Heirloom back to back because I love how she adapts cumming’s imagery in her own subsequent lyric and the transition between the two is one of the most sob-rising-in-your-throat moments on Vespertine, for me.

I love "I've Seen It All" full stop, but prefer the Thom Yorke version over the Peter Stormare film version. Their voices just sound so goddamn beautiful together.

There's a sizeable bloc among Bjork fandom that just has no time for "Violently Happy," misguidedly.

I love 95% of Bjork, but also don't care for Violently Happy, sorry, please don't fp me, just find it a bit bland and don't like the bit about ecstatic music

"I've Seen It All" snuck onto my ballot last minute, and I'm glad it did. An eerie, beautiful song.

Violently Happy is fine, but it definitely is one of my least favourite songs on Debut.

Sun in My Mouth is one of her prettiest songs, a real highlight on Vespertine and I love where it's sequenced

That stretch of relative non-bangers before "Violently Happy" is quite handsome. I think I only voted for one of them but they're all working for me right now, divorced from their parent albums.

i also expressed my dislike for the song on the earlier thread, so maybe it's just me hating on it!

i gotta hand it to bjork, she takes a concept that i would find excruciating if done by anyone else and *almost* makes it listenable! i can't imagine a better version of it! so kudos for that. but similar to advertisements featuring precocious genius children whispering slogans and espousing philosophic wisdom about the connections between freedom and affordably priced luxury vehicles, i just can't stand it no matter how well the idea is executed

sorry sleeve. sorry bjork. i took it too far. but at least it's the only bjork song i would even think of to diss. i may not connect with others but they don't make me reach for the skip button

I didn’t vote for “it’s oh so quiet” but I’ll fight haters of the song. I was like 10 when it came out but i remember it felt so different and crazy fun compared to any other song on the radio that year.

It takes a lot of talent and charisma to pull off a novelty song like this one and make it a hit.

Wasn't it her biggest hit in most territories? That it appears on <20% ballots here is...interesting.

Isn't it also her sole in-studio cover version post-Gling-Gló?

Debut had Like Someone in Love, Vokuro on Medulla was too apparently, and she did a Joni Mitchell cover for a compilation

That said I didn’t vote for it because after hearing Betty Hutton’s version I realized it’s kind of a needless remake and would have been better suited as a b-side or comission work for a perfume ad or something.
