New Carb On Carb album for ages is great midwest-emo-revival plus NZ convergent evolution w/Camp Cope etc. "Mitimiti" is a great closer, and the two singles "It's Been A Rough Year" & "Nicole's Express" are highlights:

Oh that's weird, last time I was at my parents' house I took back The Satellite Years CD that I bought when I was young because I couldn't remember what the hell it was. It holds up quite well I think despite the post-rock and 'core elements jarring a bit at times.

Neither of those new songs do much for me but it's nice they're still around!

New interview/feature in Stereogum makes it sound like quite something.

despite really liking the band I've never been able to shake the view that they basically come off like a bunch of dads who bought cool equipment with money from their day jobs and somehow made v good grownup dad-indie rock
