what one artist do you like the most that ilm doesn't seem to rate at all

I really liked the Kentucky-based band Sleeper Agent (their first album in particular), but looks like they’ve only been mentioned once in here, in passing. I rarely saw them noticed/reviewed in the music press, either – and they were on RCA. I just happened to see their first video when it was getting some airplay.

the hatred of frank turner makes total sense to me but is overstated, he's become p tolerable in the past few years

Not an artist as such, but I like loads of commercial EDM and the kind of euphoric trancey variety of D&B and I don't think anyone else on here is into those at all.

My colleague who plays guitar in local pubs loves Frank Turner, I think I've never actually heard him.

I think I'm the only person here who buys/goes to shows by roots/-rockabilly guys like JD McPherson and Deke Dickerson.

I like Sounds From the Thievery Hi Fi a lot, their next album was pretty solid too (the one w/Lebanese Blonde.) Their DJ Kicks was pretty outstanding.

i can't think of anything. if i'm thinking of things that more than a few people here have heard. lots of stuff i love that is just unheard by a lot of people. truthdare doubledare is one of my very favorite albums of the 80s. never heard anyone here rave about it. bronski beat were pretty famous. i don't know how many people were pro-John Jøn though.

I started a Cake thread in 2011. Don't really listen to them much anymore, but they were the most important band in the world to me when I was a teenager.

Most of the Lenola talk here looks to be at least 13 years old or so. Good to know there's still fans out there. They really hold up!

this is easily one of my top ten or top twenty favorite rock albums of the '90s (non-metal division) and i have never met anyone who liked it as much as me. i've played my crappy CD copy year in and year out since 1991. i'm sure there are people who like it, but i've never heard anyone talk about it in any rave review critical way. maybe there was an issue of Mojo where they gave it its due. i think its a work of art as an album experience.

I like the early Lenola singles a lot. Got one of the later albums which is OK but not as into it.

That Hypnotics record is one I’ve never wearied of, and along the same lines, Gallon Drunk. Loud rock with Elmer Bernstein/Mingus horn charts pushing it over the top is the best sound. The Saints’ Eternally Yours, too.

the casket girls and their debut in particular have rarely been mentioned here
