the wolf müller & niklas wandt album is fun, kind of splits the difference between the 'tropical drums of deutschland' comp and schulte's bufiman stuff

I hadn't realised that Schulte and Bufiman were the same person but it makes total sense

bout to go see Mhysa, Itsi, Thoom and some others in Chicago so i've been relistening to Fantasii, and damn if that isn't one of 2017's great albums

nice I really wish I could go to that show, I was at Ariel's night a few weeks ago and it was great

I like that but I don't know if at the end of the day I totally understand some of this rolling experimental electronic misfit club music. Stuff like that, part of me is like, when does the beat drop? I know how cliche that is but like, there's no reason for their not to be a beat! It's beautiful melodic techno. Throw in a kick drum for us. I see the promo calls it "DJ tools" but that's what B-sides are for.
