if i had to guess the only two that have a chance at placing are prob the slowdive remix (which would technically mean avalon emerson placed three times, so maybe that's too much/too unrealistic) and the carmen villain track

this is my favourite bobbins track so far

Slowdive could benefit from the combined original + remix rule

Idly wondering how different this list would have been if everyone had voted in November, ie before most of the end-of-year lists were published. There's a lot of here that generated virtually no discussion here but appeared prominently in several lists and accompanying playlists.

Like the album but my favorite track is "Fleeting Moments of Freedom (Wooo)."

Get in there! Original is great but the remix is a great big driving monster and probably the best thing avalon emerson has done so far ( which sayin' somethin')

what I'm finding genuinely perplexing is the massive kpop showing when that rolling thread isn't really all that active/populated (with the possibly key difference that the last month is mostly "who should we vote for?" talk which I guess I should try for my own pet rolling threads). forapper as influential as Tim really

I don't post all that much in the k-pop thread but I listen to k-pop all year long and talk about it elsewhere. I could've done a better job nominating some tunes this year though.

If the K-pop thread has coalesced around a small number of songs then it makes sense they're well represented here. The afropop thread has hundreds of tracks on it and I'm sure a lot of them got one or two votes but there are relatively few rallying points this year - although I bet one or two are still to come here.

cor this avalan emerson remix is banging, much better than the original and the other AE track imo

the last section of grafts where it reverberates out into a tired evening sky always makes me feel better, what more could you ask for

everyone should not listen to this, but listen to the dawn richard song of this title instead, which lorde basically nicks the idea of and makes 300x worse

sorta hope "green light" didn't outpace this though i know it did

Well, both songs are named after the most famous art gallery in the world, but that's about it.

'grafts' is the first track that is totally new to me that i enjoyed, very pretty. 'adrift' remix is the avalon emerson that i voted for

guys, you can write and sing two excellent songs about losing your mind in The Louvre

everyone should not listen to anything imago ever says because he is an idiot with shitty opinions lol

only an afropop lurker but there's a few i really hope make it and some that i'd be surprised if they didn't

this was one of the best Lorde tracks but I hope this doesn't mean there's going to be any more than Green Light still to come

track is all about the muffled bass in the chorus

The Dawn song is sonically great but I've been able to take it entirely seriously due to the very solemn and reverant way she sings "your wonderful parts", which is supreme deadpan if nothign else.

I approve of the Lorde album even if I don't really care about 2/3 of it, but the "who cares, still the Louvre" line won me over first time I heard it.

both songs have a central lyrical conceit about hanging a person or people in the louvre! anyway w/e

"Homemade Dynamite" was my jam on this album.

homemade dynamite is the best one. it's the only song i've heard that seems to draw its influence directly from 06 nelly furtado/timbaland

xp i hear & like that but the song itself doesn't grab me much
