I voted for this! It was one of my best discoveries from the Spotify playlist. A great headphones song.

it was an unusually wonderful year for k-pop and i'm so delighted that the countdown is reflecting this

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:22 (eight years ago)

is this the act that's also some sort of wild multimedia project?

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:24 (eight years ago)

From what I understand, LOOΠΔ is the overarching group and before they release a proper debut all the sub-units of LOOΠΔ are being introduced one at a time.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:25 (eight years ago)

It's like K-pop Turquoise Jeep.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:28 (eight years ago)

this is my favorite of the kpop entries so far

ciderpress, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:28 (eight years ago)

Is this the most k-pop there's ever been on one of these lists? Nice surprise

Frederik B, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:28 (eight years ago)

much prefer this to the other loona

#TeamHailing (imago), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:29 (eight years ago)

xps kind of, they're a girl group that's been introducing members and sub-groups monthly for the past year and a bit, and the videos have some sort of vague interconnected plot that's also told through the video descriptions too but there's not really much to it

ufo, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:29 (eight years ago)

K-pop sucks.

Salt Lake City Motorcycle Accident Nerve Damage Lawyer (_Rudipherous_), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:31 (eight years ago)

Cool, thx

TOPICS TO COVER (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)

Animals?
Time loop
Mobius / two dimensions
Odd Eye Circle - meaning?
Connections between subunits

lol

devvvine, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:34 (eight years ago)

looool that breakdown, awesome

#TeamHailing (imago), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:34 (eight years ago)

You had to know 31 slides wasn't gonna cover it. xp

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:34 (eight years ago)

I didn't think it was gonna make the list! New was my no. 1

the resignation in the lyrics and the music just totally sells this for me.

Will (kruezer2), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:35 (eight years ago)

We've hit the top 30 without Kendrick appearing once, which suggests either he got vote split to hell or he's going to take up half the remaining places.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:38 (eight years ago)

new makes me weirdly emotional

other loona tracks i strongly recommend are 90s sugar rush Everyday I Love You, ambitious orchestral ballad Sonatine, and Love Cherry Motion

ufo, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:39 (eight years ago)

kendrick doesn't exist

ciderpress, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:39 (eight years ago)

Whoever said before we're only getting "DNA" and "Humble" was correct, though I could see them both being top 10

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:39 (eight years ago)

new makes me weirdly emotional

same

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:39 (eight years ago)

much prefer this to the other loona

Same here

Gavin, Leeds, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:39 (eight years ago)

*likely correct lol, I'm not *that* sure xxp

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:40 (eight years ago)

am I wrong to think "Palette" is going to make it in as well

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:40 (eight years ago)

oh wow 22 minutes, what's this?

i didn't vote for Palette but anything is possible

ufo, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

at this point who even knows man

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

lmao this is a good year for extended jams huh

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

holy shit what is THIS

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

Red Flavor is def the best of the four girl group joints on this list, and RV also prob the least 'normal' of the four groups in terms of sound.

(...I write as the fifth entry shows up. Def a new record for k-pop in a year without an obvious 'the one track to vote for'. new is a jam, yeah)

Simon H - I wish, but I'm positive it won't. My #1 tho

abcfsk, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

Humble wasn't nominated until really late and I'm really not sure it'll make it

#TeamHailing (imago), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:41 (eight years ago)

I think I voted for it! (for some reason I'm completely blanking on my ballot lol) xp

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:42 (eight years ago)

Man how did I miss that Mondo Grosso track, so good, want a 12 minute version. Bringing back Star Suite vibes which I rinsed the fuck out of back in the day

Xp Grafts yes!

i know kore-eda (or something), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:42 (eight years ago)

fingers crossed, it was my no. 4

watch it get 78'd

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:43 (eight years ago)

awww KLC was my #1

faust apes (NickB), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:43 (eight years ago)

I among those who forgot about the Mondo Grosso track but would've totally voted for it. :(

Also, my god, what an incredible video!

daavid, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:44 (eight years ago)

"grafts" is fucking awesome, good job everyone

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:44 (eight years ago)

Kara-Lis Coverdale is great - in addition to making ambient music and hanging out with Tim Hecker she's a church organist who occasionally plays rap instrumentals as people are filing in or out of the church.

Pretty sure I saw Grafts in at least a couple of album polls though.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:45 (eight years ago)

No Paramore yet. Wonder if they've suffered from vote splitting

groovypanda, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:45 (eight years ago)

Good job everyone for Grafts at the high position and for stirring things up.

✖✖✖ (Moka), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:46 (eight years ago)

they'll only get one track in but i expect it to place xp

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:46 (eight years ago)

I would not have thought to vote for this but it's pretty cool!

re: Paramore, I voted for the album, but I can't imagine "Hard Times" not making it, at least

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:47 (eight years ago)

the only other acts with potential for multiple tracks left are SZA and maybe Lorde?

ufo, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:48 (eight years ago)

that sounds about right

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:49 (eight years ago)

I feel like this is so far the most bonkers ILX end of the year list so far. Like a playlist of these songs in this particular order would absolutely perplex anyone who isn't aware of the context.

daavid, Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:50 (eight years ago)

I suspect the final stretch will be much less wild but I've been loving it so far

Simon H., Wednesday, 24 January 2018 16:50 (eight years ago)

grafts is cool, not sure why i didn't vote for it. guess i wasn't expecting it to be on the tracks side so i missed it
