just when things were going so well...

This album ended up not being as bad as I expected it to be—I even liked a full half of the songs—but why people gathered around this plodding bore is a mystery.

i quite liked the ending to the titular track

don't get why this placed, ok but far from a highlight on their worst album

mourning for all the songs i voted for that won't place atm

jesus christ, this sounds like the band suicide reimagined as a lump of uncooked pastry dough

not one of the two or three pretty-good songs off that album, disappointing development

yeah i'm not so biased as to not concede that one of the tracks (think it's 'i used to') is decent, and i guess one could be allowed to like 'call the police' as well

"Shadow" is great, especially for Twin Peaks fans, although it does bite a classic Sonic Youth track.

i think i voted for this in 2015. the 9 minute 'last dance night of the club edit' which seems to have been scrubbed from existence was fantastic i remember

Oh Baby is one of the songs I listened to the most in 2017, might be the best SONG James Murphy has ever written. Especially the great ending where the drums finally kick into the next gear, and then it only lasts a few seconds, and then he stumbles on. Murphy will never be as important as he was ten-fifteen years ago, but I think he became a better songwriter in his retirement. I'll take something like Yeah! over it any day of the week, but Oh Baby is great in a different way.

Somebody's gotta explain this one to me.

kind of expected it to be higher, guess we'll have to wait for the albums poll for that though

after a first half of glimmering and beautiful melody, the second half feels like i'm participating in some ancient pagan ritual as the whole world spins beyond my consciousness. it's too much almost

I would much prefer game show host Richard Dawson (r.i.p.) singing the best of Skinny Puppy to this audio travesty.

Great song. Ogre and Soldier are the twin... erm high points of the album for sure but I gave my vote to the LP.

also it's a brexit anthem, done classily: the townsfolk blame an ogre for their troubles and pursue it madly, ritualistically...but it is not there...

Ogre!

love dawson's guitar playing first & foremost and there are some glorious turnarounds on ogre

Will admit that I sometimes wish he were (or employed) a better singer. I like the tunes, the playing, the ideas, the feel, though.

love red flavor & had it very high, it's pure excitement and the percussion is fantastic.

no idea what's with the 'interviewing fruits' mv concept though.

i don't expect any more kpop to place at this point but 4 tracks is a great showing

I thought Richard Dawson was unlistenable shite the first time I heard him. The video for "The Vile Stuff" helped me cross that line. Voted for "Soldier", but this is a close second favourite.

I would reverse the order of all K-Pop entries so far. "Likey" is clearly the best, "Red Flavor" the worst.
