this was an ok miguel track but didn't really strike me as anything special

I voted for it (but I'm not one of the number ones). It's grebt.

It's basically half the tracks from the first Miguel album mashed into one new song.

I loved Lost In Your Light so much when I first heard it that both artists' subsequent albums felt like a letdown, then promptly forgot to vote for it.

Destroyer live last year made me appreciate the album a lot more. Love the track.

I was the other number one vote for Lost In Your Light. There were a lot of really great song and video combinations in 2017, but this one was the most perfect. As Brad said on the Dua Lipa thread, "it totally embodies what it's like to listen to the song". Their voices blend together so beautifully. My favourite song of the year by quite a long way. It should have been as big as New Rules (which I'm sure is coming later).

I suspect if I'd heard Glutes out I'd feel differently about it. The way I feel about Vertigo after hearing Michael Mayer drop it at a festival a few years ago. Nothing else by Patrice Baumel has ever stuck with me like that, his tracks are custom made to precision to blow the roof off

I got a couple votes in last year's poll (didn't place), but it charted in August 2017. xps

connan mockasin "caramel" is a better tune and i don't really care about childish gambino but this is still a pretty good tune imo!

also just remembered the scene in Atlanta where that GC record cover is in shot (on the rich white ally dude's shelf) ha

also it was pretty good as used in "get out"

the thing is, "I'd Rather Be With You" and Isaac Hayes' "The Look of Love" (or even Jay-Z's "Can I Live") haven't been scrubbed from existence, so i can just listen to those songs instead of Glover's middling imitation

love aura, but i couldn't quite make room for bicep in my tracks or album ballot :(

was disappointed with the Bicep album when it first came out, but it really grew on me over time and I ended up voting for both Aura and Glue

nothing will beat 'Just' for me

Aura steps right to the edge of hands in the air corny in a way that's kind of perfect. left it off my track list and kept the album, but man is it great.

and yeah, Just is perfect.
