Three encores!

Does anybody know what happened on Wednesday? A roadie came out after the encore and fiddled with Frank's kit, then another came out, made a throat-cutting 'quit' motion, then cleared Kim's stuff away. Kim also appeared at the back of the stage a bit later but was led away.

dunno, but there were a lot of disgruntled people wandering about when they didn't come back. they only played just over an hour, which is a but rub for 30 quid - but it's not about the money etc. was still a pretty fine show, very glad i finally got to see them 12 years after i originally planned to do so!

I was going to buy another of the DISCLIVE sets -- what's the scoop on the show on Friday?

C'mon Brits -- there's only 19 copies of the June 3rd show left.

Thursday was great, especially for the encores going on after the lights went up. Finishing on 'Into The White'! Only bad thing was their not playing 'The Holiday Song' and my being up-sodding-stairs. Friend was going to get her flatmate's group to go to the bar with all their stubs so we could sneak in, but found out that flatmate had had all six of his tickets nicked from his back pocket so they all missed the gig entirely. One of them he'd sold on ebay to someone who he had to meet beforehand and tell the bad news. Ouch.

one year passes...
Weirdly, they're playing a show at Alexandra Palace on August 31st and it appears to be in no danger of selling out.

Probably because they're playing Reading and Leeds the weekend before and it's £31 per ticket for a Wednesday night show...

It's sold out now, though.

Already fucking touts are selling them on ebay with a "buy it now" price of £57 per ticket...

i'm going to be seeing them in paris just before reading/leeds weekend.

one month passes...
i have a spare for tonight's show, if anyone's interested (face value or a little below).

I wasn't going to go because of the outrageous ticket price, but one of my friends is kindly giving me his fiancee's ticket as a birthday present (she wasn't bothered about going anyway, not really a fan).

Unfortunately I'm going to tomorrow night's show, or I might have been interested in your spare ticket for my wife. Oh well.

Fucking AMAZING.

Best bits: both versions of 'Wave of Mutilation' and that guitar lead solo...

i'm going tonight - is there a support group?

(I mean is there a lesser-known band playing before the Pixies, not is there an organisation to help me through the painful experience)

the futureheads.

Futureheads? Cool. They're one of the only nu-indie bands I can stand.

Great. I pushed my way right to the front and jumped around like I was half my age.
