wedding one is amazing, both the music and the mesmerizing video.

saw that I can't go to your yt channel and, like, play all your tunes on an honest day's work, and it saddens me deeply.

The main from the council came round with some proper vibes. I don't think he was really from the council, and I was going to tell him so, when suddenly the defence began to clearm and I was able to deliver a slide rule pass, on a sixpence as they used to say. The defence was in disarray, we were through, Rhyl 2 Astrakhan 0, the celebrations carried on right through the periodic table

That last one was an interloper alright, how did it sneak its way into a winter jams thread? Here is a return to winter atmospheres, is grim up north unless you dream

I almost forget to mention I had another trip to Perm. There were some new colleagues and it was all a little intense for me but there were no broken bones which is the main thing! You can have a look here if you like!

Its been a while since we had a proper shipyard brexit banger, there's a boatload of these in the skip round the back of Greggs I'll see if I can fish any more out tomorrow

I found a cracker in the Brexit section in the skip round the back of Greggs today, I think someone has tipped me off to the council though, this one is in shreds. I will post what I can salvage!

saer, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 14:55 (six years ago) link

I got out of there just in time - the council boys were no match for the lads from Greggs, I was just glad to be able to salvage something

four months pass...

I saw this theatre show called Western Society from the german/uk collective Gob Squad. They found this strange video on youtube of a family gathering that only had about ten views and they set about trying to recreate/re-enact the video. At a certain point it becomes clear that The Gob Squad know the video too well to re-enact the video as they wish since they know it too well it lacks the spontaneity required so they choose random people from the audience to do it by throwing a teddy bear (iirc) into the audience and whoever catches it has to be part of the re-enactment. The gob squad members take the audience places in the seating bank and control the audience members (now performers) via linked headsets, telling them how to re-enact the action of the random youtube video. After running the scene a few times they get the audience members to do a final take, so to speak, while running the original clip in the background. Its funny while they are building up to it and then when they do the final take it is, for some reason I'm not sure I can define, supremely and overwhelmingly moving.

I'm not sure how that related to your videos and music but I have thought about it several times while watching your films. And it's not for the obvious reasons, I don't think.

yes, the obvious reason is thinking about how some of these videos may be re-enacted but there's more to it that I can't quite work out.

yer some man, saer.

Heavy Messages (jed_), Tuesday, 8 May 2018 00:25 (six years ago) link

maybe it's to do with the fact that you make these very interesting artifacts that not many people see. I don't mean that as a dis at all but it adds to the somewhat arcane quality of the project.

Heavy Messages (jed_), Tuesday, 8 May 2018 00:30 (six years ago) link

Late Work for Uhz is a cover of Moments in Love, right?

Heavy Messages (jed_), Tuesday, 8 May 2018 00:47 (six years ago) link

thanks! I will have a look at that!

An unfortunate relegation to the bottom tier means that pasties are likely to be reduced further in price next year at Boundary Park but hopefully there'll be no corners cut!

In the meantime we got some jams beamed in from Perm and so far its gone reasonably well, almost entirely unmolested by bureaucrats and circus strongmen
