Unless she decides to make more songs like Shake it Off and Bad Blood, because those were two of the biggest hits from her last album.

It can be hard to remember that she and Kendrick had a #1 hit, it just sort of disappeared. I still hear "Blank Space" and "Style" on the radio, but not "Bad Blood."

I still hear Bad Blood pretty regularly at the roller rink.

Chorus was the only part I liked! Until I read that.

xp I can't speak for everyone, but I'm just sick of songs that sound like this and are constructed this way and I kinda (maybe wrongly) assumed she'd rise above.

I’ve only really absorbed this record in the past few days in the wake of the release of LOVER, and I made my own tracklisting for it:

7. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
8. Don’t Blame Me
9. Call It What You Want
10. This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

Begins and ends how it always should’ve: with Taylor remaining joyfully and deliriously bad. “Getaway Car” doesn’t do anything to supplement the flow of this sequence; that and “King Of My Heart” would be the B-sides. “New Year’s Day” works better as a hidden track on an alternate LOVER tracklist where the title track serves as the closer. “Gorgeous” and “LWYMMD” never should’ve seen the light of day.

i was just thinking that time has been unexpectedly kind to this record. even "look what you made me do" won me over, it's kinda delightfully arch out of its immediate context. "this is why we can't have nice things" is the only song i find too embarrassing to bear, good hook though

I agree with you on the sequencing. The album's already aging reeeeally well, and it may become my personal favorite in time.

I really should go back to this. I think New Year's Day is the best song here by far and I've always liked Getaway Car and King of My Heart. Without having gone back to it for a while, I feel it has too many momentum killers for me: "Endgame", "I Did Something Bad", "So It Goes", "Dancing"; "Call It What You Want" seemed underwhelming and 100% on "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things".

But I should go back to it; I'll be doing it soon.
