I wrote a verse! Still haven't recorded…

i have the core of the track done, but it has a very expensive sample i must clear with paul mccartney

I confess i haven't had the time to work on the track as I initially planned it, I worked out the structure of it but realized it would take me forever to do it with my mininmal resources... plus I'm going on holiday next week. So, I'm going to cannibalize an existing track, hopefully it shouldn't take too long - hopefully - I think it should work out fine.

I'm in the same boat, suddenly having to move house in two weeks, but it'll be fine LG xx

i wrote something last week that was ok, just something tossed off that is pretty much a full song. i tried starting over from scratch yesterday and made a totally different song but i don't like it as much as the first. now that it's down to the wire i'm thinking i'll go back to that first one and clean it up. only problem is i don't think it sounds like Oasis or Liam at all =)

The latter has never been a requirement.

And thank god for that.

I did sit down to write a plodding indie-rock song with Vox organ and backwards guitars, etc but it ended up sounding like The Doors produced by Lee Perry with a head injury so went for something completely out of keeping instead.

I am, however, hamstrung by an appalling singing voice so will probably need to make it instrumental.

Would you all be alright with postponing the deadline a week, to Thursday 7 Sept? If not I'll have to give up my song. I'm in the midst of a surprise house move. Won't make the 31st of August. But if you all don't want to postpone a week that's fine and then I'll just hand my slot over to someone else. Otherwise I'll ~bring teh tunes~ a week later. Let me know, whoever's in charge.
