Once, quite coincidentally, I had some Mozart playing - forget what - and his movement's ending corresponded with ours. Whump! Whump! Whuuuuuuuuuump! At the time it was comical, and we both laughed. I don't think I've eve had music on since then.

Best ever, in my experience: Gnawa Music of Marrakesh (the world needs more acellerando trance music).

None. Always best to make your own music.

This is a silly thread of course, very ilx circa 2002. The music - if at all - should suit both people entering the sexual arrangement iirc. It cannot be one person (ie. the ilx poster) putting on something that might be off-putting for the other person.

Havind said that, I've enjoyed great sexual synchronicity with both Natacha Atlas' 'Foretold in the Language of Dreams' and Cocteau Twins' 'Blue Bell Knoll'.

But it only works with one unique person, is what I'm trying to say.

Tom T Hall--Sneaky Snake on repeat. Two plays straight through and I'm done.

kornrulez6969, Thursday, 15 June 2017 21:27 (eight years ago)

Really? Country? Actually that's a great idea. To listen to music that turns the man off so that he lasts longer. What about Stockhausens Gesang der Jünglinge?

Erik Satie, played slowly by Reinbert de Lleuw
Rowe & Tilbury - Duos for Doris
John Fahey - America
Aphex - Drukqs

great results.

When I was a virgin, I thought Cocteau Twins would be the best ever sex music.

Reality: it was distracting.

it's just locker room treason (Sanpaku), Saturday, 17 June 2017 21:14 (eight years ago)

any conscious or deliberate choice feels contrived and distracting.. a couple of years ago, i thought this (album, Codiaeum Variegatum) might be nice, for background ambiance or something: https://youtu.be/2QI2PtSgf8c

In lost my virginity to a Metallica bootleg album. I brought the poor lady back to my place with the promise of checking out some bootlegs and she got bonus bad sex.

The best musical interlude in that respect was when I was hanging out with a stripper and I played her US3. She started dancing to the single and next thing you know, I was experiencing something out of Penthouse Forum.

Needless to say, I have a very soft spot for that album.

I used to put on New Romantic stuff for sex because sex to me is twilight with random flowing fabrics and horses trotting in the background.

now I'm wondering what song NYCNative sealed the deal to re: Metallica.

Flip side of the Dead Can Dance love up thread: once had a threesome dissolve into hysterical laughter when Saltarello came on unexpectedly.

Seriously, Rowland S Howard's Teenage Snuff Film and also the record he did with Lydia Lunch. Also HTRK - Marry Me Tonight. Clearly RSH gets me going.
