so it's so weird during the obsessives set they kept bringing these guys up to sing the songs but they couldn't really carry a tune and they didn't really know the songs (they kept looking at their phones to sing/read the lyrics). is this something they normally do or what

I didn't hate that Spin list. Maybe 1 album per band would have helped a touch, especially when it's 30. Weird to exclude Waxahatchee but not Swearin.' Feel like that first Waxahatchee record is more suitably emo.

They opened for Beach Slang a couple of years ago. I liked their 2015 album Imaginary Life quite a bit. "Plans" is great. If this is an indication of where they're going with their sound, I'm in.

oh shit i finally got around to listening to that creeper record and imo this is the record that comes closest to collapsing the pop-punk/glam metal dichotomy, it's so ambitious and embarrassing. i LOVE it

I'm listening to this again and at least 20 bands have sprung to mind over the first 5 tracks, it's really something

sorta wish the record had mcr-quality sharpness in its production, it's real foggy sounding, but that's my only complaint so far
