becoming aware of imagination for the first time is my main discovery from this poll and i'm really glad about it

Just looked back on my rushed ballot and didn't give nearly enough love for imagination. Just body talk way down near the bottom. Sorry people.

wtev, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:09 (nine years ago)

Voted for lots of Prince but this was the highest of his in my ballot. My no3

"Time (Clock of the Heart)" sounds R&B to me (I voted for it). As Kevin Bozelka once said, it's the best song ever written about being in love with a straight man.

the Rain Man of nationalism. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:45 (nine years ago)

i forgot about the rapping in the full-length version

dyl, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:51 (nine years ago)

I may have also thrown a vote "Lately"s way.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:53 (nine years ago)

What ... unrepresentative cover art.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:59 (nine years ago)

dyl, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:20 (nine years ago)

"The Glow of Love" remains my worst ever karaoke performance

sexualing healing (crüt), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:20 (nine years ago)

"searching" is also great now that i am reminded by that sleeve art

dyl, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:20 (nine years ago)

I only discovered "Oh Sheila" a few weeks before this poll started. It went straight to number 5 on my ballot.

ArchCarrier, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:25 (nine years ago)

Best use of timpani ever.

ArchCarrier, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:28 (nine years ago)

What a singer.

the Rain Man of nationalism. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:58 (nine years ago)

ta for the spotify Moodles.

piscesx, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:05 (nine years ago)

Definitely Wham's finest moment.

Great results today. I'm really shocked we haven't had any Grace Jones yet. Only one Cameo song seems surprising too. Hopefully they'll both have a few songs further up. I'm also wondering if I should now give up hope of The Rain placing?

kitchen person, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:06 (nine years ago)

Grace Jones sold few records in America and didn't get much play on R&B stations.

the Rain Man of nationalism. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:16 (nine years ago)

This has been a brilliant poll and roll out. And the fireworks are still tinder dry...

wtev, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:19 (nine years ago)

The Rain will place.

LeRooLeRoo, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:45 (nine years ago)

my pleasure, may be a bit slower updating over the next couple days as I will be in all-day meetings.

Moodles, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 21:46 (nine years ago)

Slave to the Rhythm will be in the top 10 surely? Yeah, great results today.

What does that have to do with this poll? A lot of us aren't Americans, and we're not voting based on chart placings.

Tuomas, Wednesday, 17 May 2017 05:04 (nine years ago)

I'm perfectly aware of it, Tuomas. If I believed she didnt belong, then Imagination doesn't either.
