what era is "Do Yourself a Favor"? that was my favorite vault discovery last year. also, have the 1999-era versions of "Raspberry Beret" and "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" ever been bootlegged?

I think "Do Yourself a Favor" is pretty early. My iVault mp3 lists it as 1982 (same year as Moonbeam Levels/Extraloveable/Turn It Up/Purple Music) but it sounds even earlier to my ears

The trio combines the vocal talents of thrilling stage presence Liv Warfield, previously a member of Prince’s New Power Generation backing band; Oscar and Grammy winner Judith Hill; and powerful songwriter Shelby J. After touring with the likes of Michael Jackson, D’Angelo, Santana, and Stevie Wonder, the women come to MetroTech backed by Warfield’s own band.

The Revolution played SF tonight -- hell of a show. Personal highlight had to be Wendy and Lisa doing "Sometimes It Snows In April" with acoustic guitar, piano and nothing more, to a totally hushed crowd. But Bobby Z, it has to be said, is a total machine.
