That Software review is one of the more embarrassing ones I've seen in a while.

it's not perfect but that Software album definitely dserves far better than that write-up and lowest billing for the day

Like honestly, it's so so so funny to me that this company has made literal millions upon millions on deals with huge media companies and inventing wildly profitable music festivals and at no point do they ever think to change their house style from "let's start with two sentences passionately explaining what it's like to use a service that's more popular than Facebook"

And, to be fair, since I'm old now, no shots at a young writer in a broken system.

i think that's something to do with the vevo embed, those always seem to autoplay now

I am usually listening to Spotify when I go onto Pitchfork (searching for what they said about such-and-such album). Drives me crazy that something in their autoplay embeds forces Spotify to stop playing. And yet the audio for their autoplay doesn't actually come on unless I tap for sound. So that's irritating.

Are there any actual Chromatics fans in real life, aside from a handful of Pitchfork writers? Seriously, the hagiography of this guy is absurd. I have literally never heard a single human being talk about this band, and there are two threads on ILX with fewer than twenty posts between them.
