What's this about a problem, I hear you ask? The current health insurance industry bureaucracy hires lots of low-income women to work at crappy jobs that might disappear under single-payer.
So, how about using some of the massive savings created by single payer to set up high quality subsidized child care or some other badly needed social services and hire those low-income women to do something more socially useful than pushing paper or answering phones?
