I remember liking Juno but still thinking "pffft, they were still the lesser side of that D-Plan split". The campaigning thread forced me to go back and listen again, so thank you!

what really impressed me the most on revisiting that record is just how fluid the playing is, none of the time changes or compositional tricks feel tacked on. Everything is just so damn seamless.

mega bass noodling in the background, lotsa cymbals, and a big showoffy lead guitar for the solos, hooky riffs, repeated melodies

also their indiscernible lyrics reminds me of PJ's yellow ledbetter. newbies used to join alt.music.pearljam & their first post would be "anyone have the lyrics for yellow ledbetter?" it was a running joke bcz ~there arent any~
