LP2 was my number one. Perfect record. William Goldsmith is always an outstanding drummer but his finest work is on this record.

i have never successfully understood anything jeremy enigk is singing on lp2

I remember getting into an online argument on some board or other back in the day with some people who had a SDRE fansite with transcribed lyrics. I was trying to present my case that he is saying "the lizard worry", not "the years of worry" in "Red Elephant" because he likes to re-use lyrics and he says "lizard worry" on "Lizard". I lost the argument.

i'd like to extend that run to include "waffle" and "8" xp

i also like how much the sleeve design resembles the first sundays record

lol my pearl jam comparison was was 100% intended as a VG-Bat-Signal ;)

lol I just listened to the second half of LP2 and when it ended, The Swarm's Parasitic Skies started up

sdre were such a fixture of my college listening that i can't remember what it was like to hear them for the first time (probably frustration, diary doesn't work like a lot of rock music does, enigk's voice is super hoarse through the whole thing). anyway i'm psyched for vg

actually i think the migration was:

baffled by diary -> checks out how it feels to be something on -> "wow this is the most perfect and beautiful music i've ever heard -> returns to diary, understands it more

struggling myself to make the pearl jam connections but w/e it takes to get peeps on board im down.

I think LP2 is my favourite SDRE. Or the one it took to get me into them anyway. "baffled by diary" was first experience too.
