pretty sure there are at least 3 reel big fish albums yet to place
― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:47 (nine years ago)
god there are so many good joke #1 possibilities for this poll
― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:48 (nine years ago)
really didn't see the +44 album taking it
you say that and yet i was thinking last night had the box car racer album been nominated i would've considered voting for it
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:50 (nine years ago)
#1 Emo album: The Amazing Royal Crowns s/t
― Guy Pidgeotto (Tom Violence), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:54 (nine years ago)
Avril is still to place..
― Odysseus, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:54 (nine years ago)
Okay, checking in again: I voted for no less than three Dismemberment Plan records. This is one of them. For some reason Change is a night time album for me, I've played this for years after coming home from the pub/shows. It's one of my favourite come-down records.
― Marty8501 (Marty Innerlogic), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:55 (nine years ago)
I can definitely hear that. Even in its relatively manic moments it has a zen quality.
― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:56 (nine years ago)
Yeah, whereas Emergency & I is the opposite of that, it's frenetic, nervous, yet danceable.
― Marty8501 (Marty Innerlogic), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 20:59 (nine years ago)
Not to mention ...Is Terrified

Man I fucking love Hum until the end of the Earth but they are not emo imho (just to go back dozens of xposts)
Also fucking lol at The Amazing Royal Crowns reference
― I want to change my display name (dan m), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:06 (nine years ago)
I voted for this
― Odysseus, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:07 (nine years ago)
And folks, I tried with My Chemical Romance (and some others sure to come) and... I just can't :(
― I want to change my display name (dan m), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:07 (nine years ago)
I voted for a different Bright Eyes album
― Marty8501 (Marty Innerlogic), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:07 (nine years ago)
this is better than lifted but i assume lifted placed over it. regardless imo all of the bright eyes records aged horribly
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:10 (nine years ago)

― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:13 (nine years ago)

― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:14 (nine years ago)
can't imagine listening to the fake interview on fevers and then deciding to vote for it in any capacity tbh
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:15 (nine years ago)

― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:28 (nine years ago)

― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:30 (nine years ago)

― an uptempo Pop/Hip Hop mentality (imago), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:30 (nine years ago)
holy shit! I guess this means I shouldn't give up on other very recent albums huh
― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:30 (nine years ago)
and i agree they should be headlining this thing but i had no input into the booking
anyway, today results were fantastic but tmmrw is imo the best results of the entire thing (all entirely way TOO LOW) before rolling into the conclusion on friday
― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:31 (nine years ago)
uh oh i'm gonna be sad about the too lows
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:32 (nine years ago)
aka emo
this is such a great album to end the day on tho i just put it on and i'm so psyched about this show. that opening track is so epic.
― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:32 (nine years ago)
btw Three Mile Pilot are indeed amazing
― an uptempo Pop/Hip Hop mentality (imago), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:32 (nine years ago)
i love the dumb cover because it totally matches the weird euphoria of the record
― devvvine, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:34 (nine years ago)

I voted the opening track as my number one song of the year in the EOY poll. Have fun Mordy!
― ArchCarrier, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)
an emo band named Crying... seems kind of meta
― Guy Pidgeotto (Tom Violence), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)
one thing about no devolucion: i have no insight into the actual mastering process but given fridmann's history i think it might be so hotly mastered that it ended up producing a ton of negative space and weird auras around all of the instruments
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)
xxp will do. wearing my dashboard t-shirt and a coheed hoodie <3 synchronicity!
― Mordy, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:37 (nine years ago)
also "turnpike gates" is the best thursday song ever
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:37 (nine years ago)
er "turnpike divides"
― the raindrops and drop tops of lived, earned experience (BradNelson), Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:38 (nine years ago)
Emo 2 the core :)
― ArchCarrier, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:38 (nine years ago)
regardless imo all of the bright eyes records aged horribly
Cassadaga has help up way better than I would have expected.
― Evan R, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 21:39 (nine years ago)
