I really like it. The video for "Soothing" is a bit er, um.

I'm really loving Tennis - Yours Conditionally. Perfect for Sunday.

Still warming up to "Semper Femina" - "Don't Pass Me By" is a great track.

A couple days ago I thought I wasn't even going to be able to get through the album (LM is pretty outside my usual) but then I came back to it the next day with Wild Once, which really clicked; then came back around and listened to the whole thing.

Yeah it's outside my usual as well Rudipherous, tbh I like songs like "Soothing" and "Gurdijeff's Daughter" more than the other ones I've heard, which probably makes it clear I'm not familiar with her.

"Gurdjieff's Daughter" is my favorite song of hers. Maybe it is Laura Marling for people who aren't into Laura Marling. I've always wanted to like her though. She always seemed really solid, just making types of music I don't listen to much.

"Gurdijeff's daughter" is like a really solid Pretenders homage IMO

"Gurdjieff" definitely one of her catchier tunes. It's not my favorite on "Short Movie" any more though. That honor would go to the lovely "Easy". Of the three albums I have by her, they all have there fair share of keepers.

Mordy mentioned them upthread but the Sacred Paws album is great in an 'Electrelane play Vampire Weekend' kind of way. I really like the final track 'Getting Old'

Out of curiosity, how much overlap is there between the Linda Catlin Smith and Charli XCX crowds?

Lots of going back and getting up to speed on new tracks from artists I've liked in previous years, plus a fair amount of rabbit holing on Spotify itself. I wish I still had time to scour blogs, but a) I don't and b) so many blogs are just dumping grounds for free PR mp3s or soundcloud links now.

Oh, and also soundcloud. Rabbit holing on there is usually productive.
