I have to say that this nu_balearic thing is really saturating my ears. They all sound the same and honestly they don't me give any emotion like a real balearic song. And all this nu_music is boring, like the mix above which apparently is a 2017 greatest hits: yawn.

I'm enjoying this Tornado Wallace record but it takes a particular kind of barefacedness to make an album full of R2D2 beach bar vibes and ashram Toto shit like Voices and then call it LONELY PLANET.

missed this last year but this ep, and particularly this track, is really amazing, deep cinematic electronic music, maybe a touch of carl craig or derrick may. no youtube unfortunately.

Ditto, music should have a bit of magic in it. The problem here is the low bar of this style is much less irritating than the lower end of other styles, so records which aren't that good get more of a pass. I like the inconsequential but it should be the magic of the leaf in the breeze, some of these are the leaf in the drawer

Was only recently I noticed it had a big red cross on the front cover, has definitely worked for me as a curatve some days

hah, now that you mention it, i did recommend gaussian curve to a friend who was having a hard time after stressing too much about US politics. whether it helped or not remains to be seen

Gonna check this out but the host talks way too much and basically makes the show unlistenable a 2nd time. Wish he just did an air break every 20mins instead of every minute and a half.

Haven't heard the Gil'r portion of that show but I just finished the Gigi/Jonny part and it was nice. I enjoyed the banter and it didn't irritate me as much as it has.

Really loving the new stuff from both Jonny and Gigi though. Can't wait for the new Gaussian Curve LP. Would like to see them live but doubt that will ever come to America (outside of NYC/LA).
