I now have the phrase "take a knee" going through my head to the tune of "take on me" and I need it to stop.

Kind of the reverse of this scenario, but a thing that's been happening a lot lately is 1) I hear a two-syllable word or phrase, 2) I then sing '(two-syllable word/phrase), baby (two-syllable word/phrase)' to the tune of 'Love Shack'. Like I say, this is happening a lot. Maybe I should see a neurologist.

It's been almost nine years since this thread started, and the sight of a midget now always prompts "girlfriend in a coma" -- the other day it was "Midget with a Smoothie" (this was a different midget than the previous years' midget with a trashbag)

sarahell is in my brain, as this is pretty much me 900% of the time. I am an amateur collector of phrases that can be sung to the tune of "Girlfriend in a Coma."

When my children were babies it was "baby in a diaper I know, I know, it's serious."

At some point, I started hearing Iggy's shouted chorus in 'Down in the Street' as 'DEWALT! DEWALT!' and now my brain always tries to turn the song into a commercial for power tools.

Or I guess I should say, for the purposes of this thread, that I always find myself singing 'Down in the Street' when I use my drill.

When I use my drill I invariably sing "I... found... my... DRILL, on Blueberry Hill."
