Marillion have huge fan funding support too, it's kind of amazing. I saw Heart an an outdoor concert this summer and Ann's voice is in great shape. Haven't been inspired to hear their new one though. Deap Vally is kind of fun. Pretenders was produced by Black Keys dude but you wouldn't know from hearing it. Cheap Trick album is not good. I love the Purson and Blues Pills, hope this isn't the only list to include them.

First list to include Metallica. I like the first disc plus 2 songs on 2nd.

I was surprised, I thought the Iggy album was going to be forgotten. It's not terrible, but certainly not amazing, too many painfully awkward moments on it. I think it's a combination of reverence for old farts and everything Josh Homme touches.

However, if you have a chance to catch a re-run of Iggy's recent performance on Austin City Limits, do so, it's one of the best shows they've had this year.

It's pretty mediocre, in my opinion. I'm not a fan of Iggy for the most part, but I was hoping for much more with Josh Homme involved.

i just kind of assume they're going for the creepy stalker vibe on that one, and so i think of it as successful.

Hmmm... couldn't get into this Powell record. I was curious and tried, but nothing.

I suspect it will show up on a quite few lists from outlets that don't really focus on dance music. Feels like that sort of record.

That top ten seems like pretty standard music publication fare at first, and then you have the Rolling Stones stuck in the middle to remind you that this is Rolling Stone.

Every song I've heard from the Rolling Stones album has been great. I'm actually excited to hear the whole thing.

I really enjoyed this, it sounds like what all the positive reviews of the Jamie XX album made me expect from it

'Gardenia' is the one Iggy LP song I've heard and "All I want to do is tell Gardenia what to do tonight" is the clunkiest line I've heard all year.
