mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 21 April 2005 11:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Keith Moon wrote "I need you" for the Who...

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 21 April 2005 11:32 (twenty-one years ago)

The first title that popped into my head was "You and I," but I'm not going to do the research.

Cosmo Vitelli brings the "Dance With Me" list up to 16...

Telephonething, Thursday, 21 April 2005 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

This could be Dave Gorman's next project: tracking down and meeting the makers of all 56 versions of "Move Your Body". A sort of odyssey of obscure studios in the Benelux countries, maybe. They could put then their version on, and Dave could have a little dance to it on camera.

mike t-diva (mike t-diva), Thursday, 21 April 2005 12:05 (twenty-one years ago)

The Beatles have an "I Need You" as well, with sad honking guitar and George.

And the Lisa Loeb song was originally just "Stay," so it definitely counts.

Glad someone added the Beatles "I Need You."

Add Bon Jovi to the "Runaway" list.

Some of these may be covers, but still...

Covers can't count, can they? If they do, "Yesterday" wins by a landslide, doesn't it?

Then again, I'm not about to do the research, so ...

Rick Massimo (Rick Massimo), Thursday, 21 April 2005 13:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Duh. Sorry. Bon Jovi's there.

mike t-diva (mike t-diva), Thursday, 21 April 2005 13:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Covers can't count, can they? If they do, "Yesterday" wins by a landslide, doesn't it?

Covers are being weeded out. But who on this PLANET could possibly know whether all of those 56 dance tracks called "Move Your Body" are, um, original compositions?

mike t-diva (mike t-diva), Thursday, 21 April 2005 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Like I said, not me. Rock (Someone's) Body!

Rick Massimo (Rick Massimo), Thursday, 21 April 2005 13:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Looking up "I Love You" on AMG - 1150 results. Even if on average the song appears 10 times for each composer, ~115, probably more.

diedre mousedropping (Dave225), Thursday, 21 April 2005 14:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't the AMG results count titles that include your keywords, though? So if you put in "I Love You" then it would count "I Love You Honey Baby La-Di-Da" or something?

emil.y (emil.y), Thursday, 21 April 2005 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

It shows those separately. I didn't count them.
