We Will Fall was very high on my ballot, never understood the antipathy towards it

"We will fall" is good but it doesn't merit the 10 minute length. Iirc the original demo song was actually 3 minutes or so but when the label told them they needed more material for the album or they wouldn't sign they tripled its length.

Hahaha guys I'm unexpectedly busy this week with my bars / my wedding / my housing situation and I'll also be the emergency dj at a friend's party on saturday since the dj they hired bailed and its too late to find a decent one for a big party so I'm not sure I'll be able to post the full results on friday. I mean my wedding is until March but weddings here in Mexico are big (many guests, like 10 hours minimum of dinner/party) and need more time to be planned. Mine will be 500 guests and its considered a 'medium' wedding. I envy the smaller weddings you seem to have in other countries.

yea - i mean obviously you dont expect everyone to be interested in the same things as you but i would have thought that this poll and subject in particular might have generated more interest - i am enjoying it all a tonne anyways becuz stooges/ iggy has completely change my whole life and outlook - but yep just sort of trying evaluate what this sorta muted response means - probably nothing sure but i cant help but think about the state of things and this board when you have what a i thought was one of the most iconic figures in 20C music struggling to generate any sort of vague discussion - is he just not interesting anymore or cool or whatever - i mean is that possible, c'mon

Discussion or not this poll has made me reconsider kill city and his later material after years of not hearing them and I'm finding a much more sensitive side of him I had never considered.

I want to thank you for this thread, and I am enjoying the yt links. Reading up about Iggy on wiki as well now.

The Kill City stuff is very different isn't it? Remarkable how the Rolling Stones vibe is kept up throughout. Did Iggy do more like this?

Yeah, I'm also genuinely surprised at how relatively quiet this thread is. Nevertheless, you're doing a great job! I didn't manage to get a ballot in but there's only one or two things that I would have voted for that have placed so far!

I know his stuff reasonably well through the 70s, but I still found myself overwhelmed by alternate versions/bootlegs/live recordings/later recordings when trying to prep for the poll, so that might be part of the problem. He does not have a concise discography, even on Tidal. But I'm also surprised by lack of interest.

Peter Noone doesn't rock like him.
