This is actually a good cover, as opposed to a good-bad cover.

Most illegible logo EVER.

original bgm, Saturday, 14 December 2002 23:38 (twenty-three years ago)

"Ya mean this?"

That's the picture from the cover, but it isn't the cover. The cover also had the Japanese character for flame and showed more of the room, but yeah you get the idea with that.

A Nairn (moretap), Sunday, 15 December 2002 00:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Wow, Alan....that's a logo? Who is the band in question?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 15 December 2002 00:05 (twenty-three years ago)

it's sad that i didn't see this thread earlier because this cover is simply spectacular.

Wow, Alan....that's a logo? Who is the band in question?

Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra. It's on their album Key to the Gates of the Apocalypses, which is there only album, I believe. It's a side project from someone in some other black metal band I don't remember liking much. This is good, though.

And I actually had this for quite a while but never realized that it was a logo. Then one day I made out a letter and was like, "whoa!"

Would not be half as great without the very Steinmanian lyrics proudly etched at the bottom.

Joe (Joe), Sunday, 15 December 2002 01:15 (twenty-three years ago)

yay! mistigo varggoth darkestra!!! the newer versions of that cd feature a far more boring cover with a skull.

they're a side project of nokturnal mortum, for anyone keeping score.

(something about the clothes ... the hair ... the bold but simple logo ... the seeming offhandedness of the photo ... it's one of my favorite ever matches of cover and album ... i know we weren't supposed to consider the music here ... but part of what does it for me with any cover is the way it works with the contents.)
