Heard the 30s clip on Spotify. Oh dear. I'm saying that as someone who wanted it to be good.

Boy this is bad.
― BlackIronPrison, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:30 (ten years ago)
I've seen a lot of people saying it sounds way more like the return of The Seahorses than The Stone Roses.
― Kitchen Person, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:33 (ten years ago)
more like the current line-up of Hurricane #1 meets the cast of Jossie's Giants
― PaulTMA, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:36 (ten years ago)
though its not even fit to stand on their shoulder
― PaulTMA, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:37 (ten years ago)
its nothing like either
― Odysseus, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:37 (ten years ago)
It's fucking horrible. Like a really really really weak Shack. Uergh.
― Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:38 (ten years ago)
It sounds like a pub rock version of Donovan basically
― real orgone kid (NickB), Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:39 (ten years ago)

― Οὖτις, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:42 (ten years ago)

― PaulTMA, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:43 (ten years ago)
I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO HEAR THIS
― Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:43 (ten years ago)
Please don't. It's awful.
― Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:45 (ten years ago)
THIS SOUNDS LIKE ARGENT COVERING BELLE AND SEBASTIAN

― Odysseus, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:53 (ten years ago)
It really does sound like The Bluetones, The Seahorses and Hurricane #1 though. It's not as if those bands all have really different styles. They mainly made music that sounded like a poor man's Stone Roses and that's exactly what All For One is.
― Kitchen Person, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:54 (ten years ago)
KP where is that Shack album? postponed indefinitely it seems
― Odysseus, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:57 (ten years ago)
Didn't know there was anything being released?
― Kitchen Person, Thursday, 12 May 2016 20:59 (ten years ago)
This was even worse than you'd made it out to be.

Oh wow, good spot!
― real orgone kid (NickB), Thursday, 12 May 2016 21:29 (ten years ago)
The drums are just foul. Can't believe that's Reni.
― Hey Bob (Scik Mouthy), Thursday, 12 May 2016 21:29 (ten years ago)
It's an intro track, that's what it sounds like.
― Mark G, Thursday, 12 May 2016 21:36 (ten years ago)
Hey, come to think of it, are there any Reni backing vocals?
― Poliopolice, Thursday, 12 May 2016 21:44 (ten years ago)
yeah, the drums are fucking terrible, although when i listened to a few live youtubes earlier he sounded shitty there too :(
the lyrics belong in a donald trump ad tbh

has any guitarist descended more completely and disappointingly from relatively tasteful playing to tedious LEAD GUITAR bollocks as john squire?
― (main prostitute from Game Of Thrones) (bizarro gazzara), Thursday, 12 May 2016 22:05 (ten years ago)
Should have broken into a "Mexico will pay" refrain instead of that shitty guitar noodling.xp
― a goon shaped fule (onimo), Thursday, 12 May 2016 22:06 (ten years ago)
Can someone please, Please, PLEASE round up all of these old '90s indie relics and put 'em in a fucking retirement home or something, where they can sit around and reminisce about how they once used to be "mad fer it" and talk about their shoes for the rest of their fucking lives!?
(Yes, I know The Stone Roses came out in '89, but still...)

― a goon shaped fule (onimo), Thursday, 12 May 2016 22:15 (ten years ago)
Oh wait you meant the album
Yeah, I meant the album... their mid '80s work doesn't feel like the same band to me.
― But... could you imagine a formation in your lemonade? Ho! (Turrican), Thursday, 12 May 2016 23:18 (ten years ago)
this is horrible. and what is this an advertisement for the Trump campaign?
― Bee OK, Friday, 13 May 2016 01:51 (ten years ago)
Trump pretty much owns the word 'wall' now
― Poliopolice, Friday, 13 May 2016 01:53 (ten years ago)
'Trump rally' was my first thought too. appalling music.
― TARANTINO! (dog latin), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:05 (ten years ago)

I've heard this song one and a bit times and I seem to know it.
― a goon shaped fule (onimo), Friday, 13 May 2016 07:51 (ten years ago)
that's because it does pretty much the same thing all the way through. it really feels like half a song written as an unfinished demo. the drums are really really really bad.
― TARANTINO! (dog latin), Friday, 13 May 2016 08:09 (ten years ago)
