I'd hoped to see Dark Funeral - The Secrets of the Black Arts place but I don't think that's happening.

For me Dopethrone is one of the greatest albums ever made, period. That perfect cross section of psych and doom. Theiy nail everything in it. Their other albums are great too.

Glad to see Through Silver in Blood made top 25.

props for including Ludicra CS. I voted for them. And I didn't hear it until recently, shamefully, so I didn't vote for it, but Obscura needs to place. Seriously.

im hoping maybe a couple from my list there might get in but im assuming the vote threshold will be double figure votes and i cant see any of those getting 10 votes as some big big albums have already placed

btw i think i voted for a couple of recentish albums after all- the last triptykon (tho low down). maybe that could place?

Rust In Peace is probably my all time favourite metal album but I'm ok with it not winning an extreme metal poll.

Run since Invisible Thought Patterns is great. Even the stuff I don't particularly care for (Neurosis) seems credible & well-placed. Particularly happy to see Dimension Hatross. The kvetching about Seasons is bizarre though. It's not breaking tons of new ground relative to the prev two, but why should it have to? Great songs, tons of energy, crushing production.

I get why Dopethrone will always be the world's favorite E-Wiz album. I just prefer the spacier, less aggressive sound of Fanatics.

I'm with contenderizer on this one. Always preferred Fanatics (though it probably helps that the 2CD of that and the s/t was my entry point for the band).

i think it's their last great album and i love it and most bands will never make anything as good but yeah it's not as good as what came before.

A couple things I voted for that I no longer think will place: Nuclear Assault, Bongzilla, Carpathian Forest.

Cant rule anything out with such a low threshold but I think you may be right.

Also with the exception of Metallica, Pantera and Slayer I would imagine that it will be 1 album per band placing now

I would've been stunned if Carpathian Forest made this list and I LOVE Carpathian Forest.
