Those German thrash records have held up very well.

Just reliving Thantifaxath now. The album is a little uneven but my fucking WORD the two songs Gasping In Darkness and Panic Becomes Despair are just…leagues beyond. I think they'll probably make a front-to-back masterpiece soon

I've always avoided Summoning and other bands like that because I'm scared I'll black out half way through and wake up LARPing

And I'm afraid that a lot of albums that were released in the last couple of years have placed partially because of me I reckon; I couldn't care less about historical significance really so I voted for the extreme metal albums I enjoy the most.

Can't blame me for Deafheaven though, I hate them for reasons nothing to do with metal elitism, more to do with the fact that they're embarassingly poor

I'll be honest, I haven't listened to any of the results yet. I'd like to try some of the more classic thrash stuff, I love that Kreator album for instance even though I didn't vote for it. Right now I'm about to check out one of the Deathspell Omega records.

I do really like Sunbather actually, its a great album. I just think its placement so prominent here is hilarious.

Death are not my favorite. Would probably be okay if they had a decent guitar player though.
