oh shit, yes, Autopsy! One of my all time favorite death metal albums. As much as I enjoy a Suffocation/Cryptopsy, yeah, I love the evil, doomy early death metal sound. I actually recorded a (terrible) one man death metal demo once and covered "Critical Madness."

Another great one. I actually got the Terrorizer demo comp recently and it's kind of amazing the jump in quality from their demos to that album. Also one of the few albums Scott Burns did a decent job on.

Can't remember what I voted for, but if I voted for Krallice it was Krallice because of Forgiveness in Rot. Fantastic track.
And I've listened to that Warning record too many times to count.
― satans favourite son, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:29 (ten years ago)
catching up after lunch, but yay Autopsy! Am assuming Mental Funeral will show up later (hopefully much later), but yeah, when I first found those records, it was the same "this is the kind of DM I like" response as Frobisher.
― Dominique, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:36 (ten years ago)

Listening to Warning. Okay I think I'm gonna like this.

when that Warning album placed in the all-time metal poll john justen was like where has this album been all my life
― The Call Of Cthulow (Cosmic Slop), Thursday, 18 February 2016 21:05 (ten years ago)
I think I like his singing better on the 40 Watt Sun album. Just nitpicking though.
― moans and feedback (Dinsdale), Thursday, 18 February 2016 21:07 (ten years ago)
I kinda prefer the prettier 40 Watt Sun to Warning. They're both out of this world though.
edit: jinx
― Devilock, Thursday, 18 February 2016 21:08 (ten years ago)
i like that gris album a bunch. it's practically new! will it stand the test of canadian time...

Am greatly enjoying this thread and the discussion, even if 40% of it is unknown to me so far. I've been plugging into Spotify and following along. Thanks Frobisher!
Looking forward to seeing if LJ picked Formula by Old Lady Drivers.
