E•mo•tion was voted most underrated album on pfork's readers' poll, which I imagine was no doubt reinforced by the Grammy snubs, since it doesn't seem otherwise unloved

think Pitchfork readers probably consider it underrated relative to the middling review it got there rather than caring about it being snubbed by the Grammys

was pleasantly surprised to hear that re: the pitchfork readers! in general albums by women have automatically scooped up the 'most overrated' accolade even if they weren't really that praised lol

I thought "Most Overrated" tends to go to whatever album Pitchfork gave the highest score to that year.

Of course, I participated in the poll and gave Underrated to Susanne Sundfor, in that she wasn't even reviewed on the site, and Overrated to Tobias Jesso Jr.

The Junos are notoriously dreadful (see Nickelback's "Album of the Year" award for Dark Horse, and I hope aren't taken to speak for the people of Canada.

Walk Off the Earth makes me wish J.D. Considine's Short Takes was still around so he could write something like, "Good idea."

The issue with the Juno moms is that this album doesn't meet the CRTC definition of being "Canadian". She is of course but the principle writers, producers and recording locations are not Canadian.
