Horrible 70s album titles like I've Got My Own Album To Do

Also check "Zabadak!" "Hold Tight" and their goofy chart-topper "The Legend of Xanadu." This 1967 EP release also seems thread-relatable:

I went and looked up the album that kicked off the whole thing - I've Got My Own Album To Do - and found the closing track was called Crotch Music. I had a listen and it's not what I expected at all, more like someone put the 70's in a blender, of if Battles collaborated with Edgar Winter.

Incidentally I heard Ronnie Wood was in an old man pub in Kildare with some hangers-on a couple of years ago and someone handed him a guitar and asked for a tune. He started singing and the barman came over and told him there was no singing allowed. "That's Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones, you can't tell him to shut up". "I don't care if he's Daniel O'Donnell, he can't sing in here".

(album is depressingly bad btw, at least based on the cuts i've checked out so far, "If I Were" and the single "Oh What A Thrill")

Jimmy Jones must feel that being ensconced in velvet is socially acceptable and in the 70s it probably was.

Fernandez did a stint in Pinochet's prisons after the coup (along with many other Chilean folkies), but he made it out.

lolling at "i've got my own pablum to do," and the idea of freddie and the dreamers still making albums in 1978, wtf.

i'm just still baffled at freddie and the dreamers having a record contract in 1978. apparently somewhere along the way they became the musical hosts of a British kids' show?

this old quote from woebot's blog seems sort of pertinent (on 70s rock):

What is it with hairies that causes them, at the drop of a shilling, to don a tailcoat and top hat, like it was the funniest fucking joke in the world? Who cracked it first? Cream on the cover of "Goodbye Cream" probably, in those ridiculous white suits. I swear I've come across so many whiskered stoned grinning idiots dressed up like this on record covers in the last week. You goons!
