All of musicfanatic's nominations seem REALLY cool to me. And I will prob check out all of fffv's album noms (even though I'd been avoiding that Father album up til now p much on principle)

No, hahaha for some reason they just seemed really appealling just now when I read through them. Idk if Dicktails are still on NNF but they were def a part of the label during its time of its biggest impact on me, and Mark McGuire I liked ever since I heard "Brothers (for Matt)" on ILX five years ago, even though I lost track of anything he did afterwards.

Also, I always wanted to check out Surfer Blood.

well ILX, you broke Spotify. We hit the limit on the album playlist but only barely; it shut down with musicfanatic's albums.

Otherwise, the singles list, albums list and albums sampler are all up to date and finished and i hate everyone.

Also: musicfanatic, admittedly I thought those albums were a lot more hypnagogic/psychedelic at first blush...however, I listened to "Islands", by Surfer Blood, and that track was p cool (if not REALLY cool)

Oh my god, apparently 'Jeanne d'Arc' *is* 2015, just the 1st of January 2015. I was positive it was a '14 song. Right, that's going in my top ten.

9,960 songs! amazing. I guess the limit is 10k. or maybe 740 hours. i got about 2 thousand songs in my personal 'all the 2015 albums i've listened to' playlist and i was wondering if there was any kind of ceiling.

loooool i'm so glad "all day" did not get nominated. i was considering not nominating "only one" as i submitted my last-minute noms so kanye would get completely shut out of consideration for trax but i actually did find that one rather affecting. (tbh it's a bit too far down my "short"list to fit on my ballot anyways so i probably shouldn't have bothered lol.)

i have no idea why "blessings" showed up on so many of those lists, ppl actually liked that?

i killed two of the three discs of momus' turpsycore and added that physics album.

Joshua Abrams - Magnetoception

Man I wish I had heard this sooner so I could have voted for it. It's a pretty great jazz-ish/world-ish/trip-ish record.

That was ~#3 on the Wire list iirc, not heard it yet though

I like Magnetoception a lot, though compared to genuine Gnaoua/Gnawa records its a bit reserved. Still most partial to the Laswell-touched Night Spirit Masters.

It was also on P4k's list of Best Experimental Records (but I found it via Marc Masters' Pazz n Jop ballot)

(and from the same ballot I've also found out about Heather Leigh's 'I Abused Animal' and Byron Westbrook's 'Precipice'. I guess it was a pretty good ballot)

I've been meaning to hear the Joshua Abrams records from last year but I've gotten pretty lazy about things that aren't on Spotify - and the one with Bitchin' Bajas was vinyl only iirc?

There is some beautiful stuff on the Joshua Abrams album but it sure could have done with some judicious editing.
