anyone go to harvey ? i was there. interesting crowd, met one of the guys from tristes tropiques, cool dude. now i see why most of his parties go until the early hours, right when things started getting warmed up it was over.

i was at harvey too! and yeah, things were just getting good and the place shut down, i thought he usually played later at the oasis (at least old flyers indicate this). looks like he's playing in sf in early may though so maybe that will go later? i had fun regardless

i don't remember the venue, it was on a flyer at the bar at oasis. i DO remember it being on rhode island street, anyone know of a venue out there? i've been trying to find the flyer online to no avail

and yeah jax, i was entertaining a bunch of college friends and it was actually sorta hectic. but at least we got a solid crew out at oasis, i think that venue is my new bay area favorite. combines the ambience of an ethiopian restaurant (i guess it's technically nigerian food at night but the owners are eritrean) and a backyard bbq at a surfer friend's house or something. tho i wish you could look at the stars while you dance

triple crown's a nice spot. it used to be an older gay piano bar on the north side of the street. kinda close to grooves.
