got tickets to see her in 2 weeks; lookin at the setlist it looks like 2/3 of it is stuff from "Joyride" which is v frustrating bcz I have no way of hearing it first!!

"Bated Breath" came up on shuffle for me the other day, and I was reminded how much I love that track. I hope that even a little bit of her upcoming material skews that way (though I doubt it will).

i've never heard the snakehips song and it's not on her album so i dunno why it would help her. clearly she's trying to get another solo single on the level of "2 On" and that hasn't happened yet.

the snakeships song is close to being a hit in the US. it's in the spotify top 50 and was number 1 on the bubbling under chart. it seems fine.

that Snakehips thing is like the worst Mumfordcore direction anyone could go in and I'm glad I've managed to find it easy to distance her from it

yeah, she said on facebook the album was finished but her label rejected it & is demanding new songs for it

i always thought the existence of such a fully-formed, distinctive album as aquarius was something of a miracle for an r&b singer of tinashe's level and it seems we're all being made to pay for it. truly the New Cassie/Ciara

label should just skip this part where they try in desperation to get her one more pop hit and just fast forward to the part where she makes her carly rae jepsen move as a pop star for indie rock fans
