I think the CB-less "Player" is good, but it hasn't really flourished for me on repeated listens. My guess is I'll like it more when the whole album comes out which is what happened to me with 2on

yeah i only liked "feels like vegas" and "pretend" in a noncommittal way until i heard them on aquarius, i find "player" (solo) and "party favors" decent in a similar way but not rhapsodising over them yet

"2 on" was always a standalone banger tho

got tickets to see her in 2 weeks; lookin at the setlist it looks like 2/3 of it is stuff from "Joyride" which is v frustrating bcz I have no way of hearing it first!!

"Bated Breath" came up on shuffle for me the other day, and I was reminded how much I love that track. I hope that even a little bit of her upcoming material skews that way (though I doubt it will).

i've never heard the snakehips song and it's not on her album so i dunno why it would help her. clearly she's trying to get another solo single on the level of "2 On" and that hasn't happened yet.

it's been huge here and also in the UK. feel like if zara and mnek can cross over into the US then surely it's only a matter of time before the snakehips one does

the snakeships song is close to being a hit in the US. it's in the spotify top 50 and was number 1 on the bubbling under chart. it seems fine.

that Snakehips thing is like the worst Mumfordcore direction anyone could go in and I'm glad I've managed to find it easy to distance her from it
